Primteori is a free jazz trio from Budapest, which started playing together in 2022, motivated by the shared interest in, influence of and love for free jazz, variety of experimental music, possibilities of musical and instrumental approach and playing itself.

The band officially has three members (guitar, modular synth, drum/percussion) but likes to challenge itself with wider perspectives and different instruments or sometimes even players. All of its gigs are spontaneous and created on spot, expressing ideas in sound.

All three members have a long lasting connection with the jazz/punk/electro scene of Budapest and often perform with its fellow musicians.

The fifth edition of the international festival of improvised and experimental music n:ear will bring artists from ten countries to various venues in Banská Štiavnica. n:ear suggests close and attentive listening, focused and perceptive hearing and promises an intense spectator and listener experience. In addition to concerts, the festival also presents lectures, site-specific performances, workshops, author readings and film screenings.
