drumz for health is a new project of drummer Szymon Pimpon Gąsiorek. It is based on acoustic drum set repetitive polyrhythms practiced and played for health. The material from this project is to be released as a music album accompanied by an educational drumming book.

Pimpon a.k.a. Szymon Gąsiorek is a polish drummer and composer creating genre-full music bending borders of acoustic percussion music, contemporary electronic music, avant-pop, noise, field recordings and improvised music. He graduated a progressive art academy Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen and currently lives in Slovenia. He released his debut solo album Pozdrawiam (Pointless Geometry, 2022) and continued the explorations on b-day EP (Love & Beauty Music, 2023). Pimpon is a leader of such bands as post-jazz Pimpono Ensemble, Pimpono 2+4 & Cześćtet as well as minimalistic music group E/I and is a part of several experimental duos such as Alfons Slik, Czajka & Puchacz (w/ Kaja Draksler), Wood Organization (w/ Tomo Jacobson), Boys Cry (w/ Gianluca Elia).

n:ear is a space of closeness and intimacy, experimental music, avant-garde jazz, free improvisation and contemporary classical music. it is a space for attentive listening and sonic discovery in the captivating concert spaces of Banská Štiavnica. with its size and focus, it offers the opportunity to participate in this proximity and to establish unexpected encounters of both musical and non-musical kinds.

The fifth edition of the international festival of improvised and experimental music n:ear will bring artists from ten countries to various venues in Banská Štiavnica. n:ear suggests close and attentive listening, focused and perceptive hearing and promises an intense spectator and listener experience. In addition to concerts, the festival also presents lectures, site-specific performances, workshops, author readings and film screenings.
