Kraľovany is a transfer station from the express lines to the local railway on Orava region. Project Kraľovany aims to be a collection of and a key to sorting of music and sound events, appealing mainly as a meeting point, a place of an informal exchange, of a permeation of audience, musicians and sound objects. Therefore, Kraľovany is a manipulation of field recordings, a playing of old music at folklore festivals, a daily morning playing the zither, an extremely noisy kitchen doom band, an organ accompaniment at funerals.
They will bring their zithers, the once immensely popular polystring instrument for domestic playing in Kingdom of Hungary (perhaps resembling today’s Garageband in a cell phone the most), and play an improvised morning set based on old songs from Hontian villages Lišov, Hontianske Moravce and Drážovce.
